چکیده
This paper is focused on the use of mixed recycled-aggregates (RA), replacing 100% natural coarse aggregates, for producing steel fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete (FR-SCC-RA) oriented to construction foundation walls. To this end, an extensive experimental program dedicated mechanical characterization FR-SCC-RA walls from material and structural level was carried out. The former developed both molded specimens cores extracted in-situ constructed in Barcelona, Spain. results lead confirm that RA resulted satisfactorily manufacturing performance, since no affectations design variables (i.e., compressive flexural tensile strengths) were detected. Likewise, derived full-scale test evidenced residual loads slabs tested significantly higher than those calculated based prismatic core samples. main outcome research might be a suitable typology presented sufficient post-cracking capacity -due incorporation fibers- avoiding fragile failures. These conclusions could extended other countries where similar restrictive regulations standards are present, regarding FRC applications. • New cement consisting self compacting made with recycled aggregates fibers. Full-scale tests obtained manufacture pouring SRF-SCC-RA concretes walls, which full scale tests. direction impacts final disposition fibers wall; longer are, greater proportion remaining vertical direction. Investigating properties of fresh and hardened self-compacting concrete made of recycled aggregates
Self-compacting concrete is a new high performance concrete with high ductility and segregation resistance. In recent years, construction material manufacturers have focused their attention on lightweight concrete and have strived to use lightweight concrete, if possible, in load-bearing parts of buildings. Concrete with both self-compacting and lightweight properties is favourable in this cont...
متن کاملA study on strength and durability of self-compacting concretes made of recycled aggregates
Given the development of construction industry and design and implementation of high rise buildings with complex sections and various geometrical forms, the use of self-compacting concretes has received the attention of construction engineers and provided great advantages. Due to the increasing air pollution in cities, governments encounter the important issue of repelling the pollutants in whi...
متن کاملStudy Punching Shear of Steel Fiber Reinforced Self Compacting Concrete Slabs by Nonlinear Analysis
This paper deals with behavior and capacity of punching shear force for flat slabs produced from steel fiber reinforced self compacting concrete (SFRSCC) by application nonlinear finite element method. Nonlinear finite element analysis on nine slab specimens was achieved by using ANSYS software. A general description of the finite element method, theoretical modeling of concrete and reinforceme...
متن کاملhybrid fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete: hardened properties
in most cases, fiber reinforced self-compacting concrete (frscc) contains only one type of fiber. the use of two or more types of fibers in a suitable combination may potentially not only improve the overal properties of self-compacting concrete, but may also result in performance synergie. the combining of fibers, often called hybridization, is investigated in this paper for a cimentetious mat...
متن کاملPerformance of High-strength Concrete Made with Recycled Ceramic Aggregates
Recent scientific concerns to achieve sustainability in construction have suggested the implementation of using recycled aggregate in concrete because it has the potential to reduce the demand for extraction of natural raw materials and decrease the volume of wastes landfilled. In this respect, this study aims to investigate the suitability of using ceramic tile (CT) and ceramic sanitary (CS) w...
